Creating a new Office 2003 SP3 image for deployment in a corporate environment.
Part of the process is to uninstall the existing Office 2003 SP2 and install
SP3.
Problem is with the custom11.prf file sitting in the C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office directory.
Using a vbs script the current file is deleted before installation of SP3
begins however when the installation is complete the new file that was
incorporated into the MST file using the Office 2003 Resource Kit is not
written.
On a net new image with no Office installation the file is written but not
on machines with an existing prf file.
Is there a registry entry or something that I am missing? Preventing the
file from being written?
