SP3 installation problem: Office Hotfix Installer encountered problem

I get the following error details when installing SP3
which generates a Office Hotfix Installer error:

ProdCode : x ProdVer : x Action :
OHotfixDetectionNPUErr
ErrNum : 1635 Err0 : {DA256408-A2E7-41A5-8AD6-
62ACB86A0FD7}
Err1 : NormalPatch.cpp Err2 : 139


Anyone understand what this means and how to fix the
problem?
