space (bar)

eblaster

I recently re-installed xp and office 2003 (etc). I noticed when reading
emails, that depressing the spacebar, advance to the next email message.
How do I turn that feature off? Thanks

Thank you eblaster. You have made me aware of a great feature that I didn't
know existed!
Is there an equally good one to return to the previous message?

Never mind, I just went back to what I was doing in the past. Up arrow and
down arrow on the keyboard.

Thank you.

I have another question; I received an email from compusa, that has a text
field that allows me to type in the name of some item to search for on their
web site. I cannot type in spaces and the delete key doesn't seem to have
any effect either in the text field. Is ghere another setting to enable
this somewhere?

Thanks

This field exists in the e-mail!? You mean like a search box on a webpage?
Don't bother about it; it's not gonna work. For security reasons those
fields don't work from within an e-mail. Visit their website instead.
