Spaces added in comments when forwarding

Hi all, we are running outlook 2000 on windows 2000 pro
and using exchange 5.5 in a windows 2000 domain.

We have one pc that when the user forwards an html or rich
text email and tries to edit the body of the original
message who is experiencing having extra spaces added
before and after her comments. Sometimes the spaces even
appear in the middle of words being typed.

I have ensured that "mark my comments with" is not
selected in options and even recreated her profile by
renaming the current one and this still occurred. It also
occurred to me when I logged on and created a profile for
me.

I have tried repairing outlook, re-installing outlook,
removing outlook and then re-installing after a reboot,
and then repairing again; and then back through the same
steps again this time removing all of office.

She is not using word as her email editor and we checked
the insert key in trying some fixes for similar situations
found in the knowledge base.

The user would prefer not to have a new pc set up for her,
or to rebuild the current one, due to the many
customizations within the programs that cannot be migrated.

Does anyone have any suggestions. Please respond to my
email address as well as to the forum as I will be going
home for the day soon.

Thank you for any help you can give.
