When replying or forwarding a message, if I type a letter in the original
message text, Outlook automatically inserts a space before and after the
letter. After typing a letter, click on undo and Outlook deletes the letter
but not the two spaces.
I understand that using Word as the email editor eliminates the issue, but
it seems like there should be a better solution.
Current settings and things I’ve played with:
New Message format = HTML
Tools->Options-> Email Options->
When replying to a message = Include original message text
When forwarding a message = Include original message text
Prefix each line = ">" (trailing space removed) is disabled
Mark my comments with is UNCHECKED
No stationary
Font settings: Western European
Outlook does use the font color/format from the stationary/font options,
which makes sense.
Interesting thing that may be a clue: in the new portion of the reply
message (not the original message text), if you type a letter then click on
undo, a space is left.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
