Spaces issues.

Formatting palettes keep disappearing. I've read this is a common and known problem with the application (ie. outdated Carbon windowing issue). So I'm wondering if it is going to get fixed (i.e. re-implemented in Cocoa, or whatever)?

We have bought tons of licenses for 2008 and we will probably have to roll back to 2004 if the problem isn't resolved. Help please.

Without going through the entire diatribe for the umptieth time :) I
sincerely doubt that you will see any change on that issue until the release
of the next version of Office. I don't know that there has been an
"official" statement to that effect but only a lunatic would expect MS to
rewrite the suite to accommodate what they clearly perceive as a curve
thrown by Apple. Unless Snow Leopard comes through for you I wouldn't ever
expect to see Office 2008 play nice with Spaces.
