Spaces

Hi:

I use MS Word 98 (not a whole lot of it, though).

This question deals with spaces: For example, the cost of something is $ 25.34.
In Word 98, the $ sign may be at the end of a line, and the figure will go on
the next line.
I remember an older word processing program I used to use years ago, which had a
feature whereby I could (invisibly) occupy that space, so that "$ 25.34" in
fact was one "word" which would not be broken up into two parts.

Is there a similar feature in Word? If so, how and where?

Thanks!

Insert / Symbols / Special Characters / NonBreaking Space or use the
keyboard shortcut <ctrl-shift-space>

Thanks for the replay Zilbandy,
The problem has been resolved by using the Before & After spacing in
Format - Paragraph Dialogue
Thanks again
