Hi i wish to have double space between the words (not characters or lines) after i have typed my document. For example 'I Live In London'. I am using a mac and have word for 2004. Thank you.

Why? This is a very non-standard requirement.

One approach--use Find and Replace. You can type an invisible space into
the Find box and two spaces into the Replace box. Test this on a copy
and close all other documents first, though--it might go haywire and
trap itself in a loop.

Would you be better off re-defining the style for text of this nature so
that the characters are expanded (i.e., horizontally)? In the process of
making the text spread out, the spaces would spread too.

I agree with Daiya:

I suggest that you do a Find/Replace also. I would, however, suggest that
you use an "em space" as a replacement, rather than two "spaces".

In proportional type, a "space' as a variable width that will be altered as
needed to justify the margins. Many applications (particularly, Web
applications) will delete more than one space in a row.

An "em space" is a fixed width that is twice the width of a non-breaking
space, which will give you the effect you require, and no other application
will fiddle with it.
