I am using Vista and Outlook 2007.
I am trying to make a generic, template letter. I have the person's name,
followed by the merge field for "mailing address."
Next I insert the date, and check the box for it to update automatically.
When I go to preview my letter, there is a space between the street and
city/state/zip. Under page layout tab, it is blank for spaces after. When I
type "0" in there, the space goes away. Problem is I have to do this every
time I print a letter.
If I just insert a date, but don't check the box for it to update
automatically, the space doesn't appear. Once I check the box, the space
appears and then stays there, even if I go back in and delete the reference
to date entirely. Also, this happens even if I put the date in at the very
end of the document, so it's no longer next to the mailing address.
