spacing

No ... it is checked 1.0. Also, everytime I hit the return key (end of
line), the new line starts out with a capital letter?

If you press Enter, you are starting a new paragraph, so Word correctly
capitalises the first letter. It isn't necessary to press enter at the end
of every line: just type and Word will automatically wrap the text to the
next line.

Thanks Terry ... any help on the 'line spacing' issue. I have it checked for
1.0 but it goes to 1.5 and even the print preview shows it that way?

Just a thought - if you are starting a new paragraph on every line, then
maybe this is paragraph spacing rather than line spacing? In Format/Paragraph
is the spacing before and after paragraphs set to zero points?

If you check the paragraph settings dialog, I expect that it is set to add
12pt after every paragraph (inter paragraph spacing). So by using the enter
key at the end of the line instead of letting Word wrap automatically, you
are ending a paragraph and starting anew paragraph. So Word is adding the
12pt after inter-paragraph space.

BTW, you don't need to press the return key at the end of each line.
Automatic wraparound is possibly the most fundamental quality of word
processing. If there was no other feature it would still be brilliant.
