I have a 2-column table of names and addresses. Some of the cells are larger
than others. How do I delete the space below some of the smaller cells so I
can fit more on a page? Also, when I take out the gridlines, the names and
addresses run together.

Change the paragraph formatting of the styles applied to your text. Adjust
the cell spacing/padding. The following might help.
