I'm having a very annoying problem and I need help from anyone who can assist
me.
I am using Outlook 2003, and I retrieve my email from three IMAP mail
accounts. I had spam filtering working on all three accounts and it was
working like a champ.
About a week ago, I moved my one mail account from email server A to email
server b, and many of the account settings changed. I went into the account
settings, made my modifications, and proceeded to retrieve my email. The
email came in, but the spam filter would not filter out any spam!?!?!?
The filter continued to work for the other two accounts like it had before.
Thinking that I might be able to "reset" the filter if I simply dropped the
account out of Outlook and recreated it, I did just that. This had no effect
whatsoever.
Somewhat more troubling, the "Add Sender to Blocked Sender's List" function
quit working for email from this account. It still works as it did before
for the other two accounts.
I've tried turning spam filtering off, shutting down Outlook, opening up
Outlook again, turning on spam filtering, turning Outlook off and on again,
and checking to see if the filter is working. No luck.
I've tried deleting just about all of the Outlook configuration files except
my actual .pst mail file. That didn't work either.
Sounds like a bug somewhere in the application. Any suggestions here?
Thanks,
Scott
