Spam folder disappeared

Two of my end users have recently reported that after deleting all of the
messages inside of their Spam Folder, the folder disappears. Has anyone
encountered this and does anyone have a fix for it? Thanks,

Outlook 2003? The Junk E-mail folder is a default folder that cannot be
deleted. It will give an error when you try to do so.

Thanks for the response. This is not the Junk E-mail folder. When I create
a new user and exchange mailbox, there is a folder named Spam Folder in the
folder list. I am able to delete this folder, but my users are telling me
that it disappeared on it's own after they deleted the contents of the
folder. I've had one of them recreate the folder manually and set a rule for
possible spam to go into this folder, but the functionality is not the same
as it was before the folder disappeared. They can still go to the Unread mail
folder and see a message, then go to properties of the message and see that
it's in the Spam Folder. The Spam Folder isn't in the folder list; which is
where the problem lies. Any ideas?

This folder is not created by Outlook or Exchange. You must have a third
party tool installed either server side or client side that creates the
folder. See the documentation of that tool on how to recreate them and
maintain its functionality.

Sounds likely. A contract engineer setup the exchange server before my time
with the company. I'll look at the most popular utils and go from there.
Thanks again for the response.
