Spam help.... Anybody have any suggestions?

I hope this isn't off topic in this NG however I do use Outlook Express so
perhaps it isn't too far off the mark...
At any rate I am sure everyone else faces this problem but lately it is
getting ridiculous, every E-mail address I set up seems to eventually get
bombarded by these bastard spammers within a couple months, and like so many
others I am sick of it. Now and again I keep hearing about anti-spamming
software such the one by Mcaffee and that brings me to my question does
anybody know of any anti spamming software that really works? I am up to
somewhere between 50 or 60 spams a day, I am getting spam for anything from
Breast and Penis enlargements, to drugs, to porn, to financial advice, to
magazine offers, to you name it I am picking it up.

The other week there was an interview with one of these spammers, and he had
to hide is identity for fear of his life... Though I don't condone violence
I can to a certain extent sympathize with those are threatening him. I know
I would have a tough time controlling my anger and disgust if I encountered
a spammer in person.

With that said does anybody have any suggestions for EFFECTIVELY filtering
out spam...? I really am sick of it, and I spend every night between 10:30
and 10:45 just sorting out through all the crap.

My apologies to the group if this is off topic, but I am getting pretty
desperate...

The only thing that is off-topic is the fact that you are using Outlook
Express ;-) But being spammed happens on all mailclients.

A good lesson to avoid spam is to not spred your address around an use false
addresses whenever possible or a second address if you really need to supply
a valid addres.

For the spammails you are receiving you could use mailwasher. It is a free
tool that effectively cleans your mailbox from spam. Of course no tool is
100% but most people are ver pleased with mailwasher.

Try MailWasher:
www.mailwasher.net

It is free and there is also a pay version. It allows you to see &
delete spam from your mail server BEFORE you download it into your
Inbox.

It's not off topic but this group is for support of Outlook, not
Outlook Express.

Thanks Guys,
I will download it and it try the free version on the most heavily abused
account to see if it helps. Then if it works on that account I will buy the
"Pro" version of it.
