Spanish accents and punctuation

I just bought an imacG5 and I need to be able to use Spanish accents
and punctuation in Word for Mac. I've been trying to follow various
procedures in help, but they are not very clear or do not work. Any
assistance would be greatly appeciated.

It all depends on what keyboard layout you use on your Mac (and it's
going to be the same in every single application)...
With a US layout, you get:
í through alt-e then i
ì through alt-` then i
ñ through alt-n then n

etc...

¿ (upside down question mark) is opt+shift+?
¡ (upside down exclamation point) is opt+!
