I am using Word for Mac to type documents in Spanish. However, when I
go to insert symbol there is no option for accents. Anyone know if
there is a way to fidn them or to download them? Thanks.

Insert Symbol is the long slow way around--skip it. See this page and
scroll down to the Macintosh heading, which will show you how to type
accented letters directly.

Once you learn the shortcuts, they will work in just about every program
on your mac.

I don't understand what you mean by "option for accents", though.
Insert | Symbol, click on Symbols, you should see about 100+ different
characters, many of them are accented letters. There would not be a
separate option for accents.

For MAC users, this is easy: CONTROL + E + the letter you want the
accent on. For the ñ, it's CONTROL + N + N AGAIN. Let me know of
this helps. It's MUCH easier this way than individually inserting
symbols, trust me (I type in Spanish pretty much all day!)

Another source: In Word Help type the keyword international for a list of
foreighn language characters & their respective keystrokes.
