Try any of the following

1/ Use Insert Symbol...
2/ Type 00bf Alt+x
3/ Type Alt+0191 (must use number pad & keep Alt key pressed down whilst
typing numbers)
4/ Set up an autocorrect option

(In options 2&3 it is number zero not letter o)
