Specific Resource Calendars / non work time

Hello,

we are currently implement project server into our company. We have a
'admin' project setup with a task called "Vacation". If a resource wants a
certain day off they go to there time sheet and book out 7hrs on that task.
Once approved they can take the day off. The question I have is there a way
to to update the specific resources calendar (book out non working time
within the resource pool) so that other project schedules can pick up on
this?

You folks have a serious decision to make about nonworking time and how to
handle it in Project Server. You can do only one of the two following:

1. Capture nonworking time in an administrative project
2. Enter nonworking time on each resource's calendar in the Enterprise
Resource Pool

You can't do both. If you want to track the time and cost for nonworking
time, then the administrative plan is the best path. On the other hand, if
you want Project Server to automatically reschedule resource work based on
nonworking time for that resource, then you must enter the nonworking time
on the resource's calendar in the Enterprise Resource Pool. Hope this
helps.
