Specifying a task

Is there a an installable macro for MS Project that would allow the user to
specify whether a task is 'capital' or 'expense'

Hi,

No, but insert the field Flag1, rename it expense then set it to Yes for
Expensed tasks. Default No is then Capital. You can select Project, Group
and create a group based on the contents of Flag1 field.
