I have a situation where I would like to be able to backup my speech files
or profile. Using the same computer and formatting the drive and
reinstalling everything is what I am going to have to do. I would like to
save my speech files before I do that and be able to copy them over to the
new installation.
Everything will be the same. The same computer. The same programs. The same
drivers, etc. Do you mean that this isn't possible? I am able to save my pst
files for Outlook 2003 and restore them. You would think you could do the
speech files.
I saw some answers in another Post about someone wanting to transfer speech
profiles to other PC's and they said it couldn't be done. I don't have the
same situation. I want to transfer them to the same PC after a crash or a
format.
Where are the speech files located? If I could find them, I could try it to
see how it turns out before going thru all the training again. In addition
to the start up training there are all those corrections made months
afterwards that would have to be done again to get back up to my accuracy.
Thanks,
Ed.
