I am trying to restore speech profiles after a crash/reload done with
external hard drive backup. I had SpProfileMgr installed prior to the crash.
When I open this program,the dialogue box which opens asks for files of type
"*.spf". I cannot locate any files of this type using desktop support or any
other way.
I have found the user lexicons, under Microsoft /Speech which I assume are
the profiles but they are in the form of DAT files and of course I can't
open them and then import to the Profile Manager utility.
I would really appreciate any advice on how to install these profiles so as
to avoid retraining as there are a lot of special words in the dictionaries,
on one or two of which I have used in exasperation trying to fix this!
