speech recognition - word 2007 - save bug?

Is anyone else getting an intermittent problem as follows:
Windows Vista Ultimate
Word 2007
When trying to save a document, either by clicking on save icon, going into
save menu or pressing ctrl-s, the document DOES NOT SAVE (!) [I lost a lot
of work on that bug....]
Also when closing the document it does not ask to save any changes.
When using SAVE AS and using a new title the document then updates with the
new data but will then not save when using SAVE commands.
