speech recognition

I recently had to re-install Office xp. I am receiving a
error message that Excel can not load speech recognition
due to an error. "Do I want to repair this feature?".
Entering yes, I receive notice that Excel can not load due
to Windows Installer error 1635.

I don't need or want speech recognition unless its
necessary for proper operation of Excel

Can someone help?

I have xl2002 and didn't install the speech recognition option.

As for the 1635 error, I searched google for:
"Windows Installer error 1635"

This thread looked promising (albeit for MSWord & office):
