If I try to add a speed dial entry to my existing list of speed dial
entries the prior list of names in the list go blank. Why is this?
My process goes like this: Click Contacts. On the Actions menu, point to
Call Contact, and then click New Call. Click Dialing Options. In the
Name box, type the name of a person (in this case "Bill's cell". In the
Phone number box, type the phone number (in this case (555)123-1234".
Click Add.
Go back to Outlook. Click Contacts. On the Actions menu, slide to Call
Contact, then point to Speed Dial. "Bill's cell" is displayed with the
correct number. Clicking on Bill's cell brings up the New Call window
and the name Bill's cell and the correct phone number are there.
Everything is fine.
Now, if I go through my process as I described above, again, to add a
second name to my speed dial list, when the Dialing Options window
opens, the telephone number for Bill's cell in the previously entered
list in the window area below the new entry, the name "Bill's cell" is
now blank. I can enter a name and a phone number for the new entry, But
if I go back to Outlook, click Contacts, go to the Actions menu, slide
to Call Contact and point to Speed Dial, the name Bill's cell is now
blank but the correct phone nubmer is still diplayed. Also, the name and
phone number for the new entry as entered previously are displayed
correctly.
What gives? Why does adding a new entry to an existing speed dlial list
make the names of the previous entries go blank?
Thanks in advance for the help.
