Speed up publishing Projects with 15,000 tasks

Leszek

Hi,

I am planning to use Project Server 2003 for very large projects. Basically
I have approximately 1,000 objects and I want to track approximately 15 tasks
per each object in one project what gives in total 15,000 tasks. I have up to
4 projects running at the same time.

Plese, could you write me any recommendations how to set up system (Hardware
+ Software) in order to decrease time necessary to re-publish projects (after
making changes in the project) from Microsoft Project Professional 2003 to
Project Server 2003?

I appreciate your help.

Thank you,
Leszek Rychert

Probably the best solution is Project 2007!!

2007 uses a caching system so only changes are saved and published, not the
whole file.

Hi Rod,

I will install SQL server on separate machine and will upgrade Project
Server 2003 to version 2007 as soon as I can.

Thanks,
Leszek
