Speed up saving of a workbook

Hi all, I have a 5.5 MB workbook which users will constantly need to
save when using it. It is taking me about 20 seconds on my computer
(P4 3.2GHz, 2GB RAM) but on a dual core I noticed it is much faster...
Are there any ways to speed the save process up besides upgrading my
PC to dual core?
