Spell check and Grammar Defaults

For some reason my spell check and grammar lanquage are
in Spanish default settings and I can not get them to
default back to english. Has anyone come accross this
problem and how did you fix this. I have tried all the
suggestions listed in help and not one seems to work.
Any suggestions would be a great help.

Word gets its default language from the setting in Windows Control Panel |
Regional Options.
