Spell-check fails for larger documents

Is it possible that spell-check could fail for large documents. Some of my users complain that their spell-check fails for large documents. Word dosen't do the spell check beyond certain number of pages (about 150 pages)

Any suggestions

Thank

Doesn't do spell check when the F7 key is pressed? Or, doesn't do it as they
type? Or, both?

Which version of Word?

If it isn't catching misspelled words, check the custom dictionary to make
sure that incorrectly spelled words have not been added. I continuously find
that users have accepted "teh" as a valid spelling and they complain that
Word has stopped spell checking.

Hi Charles

The word version is Word 2000. It doesn't do spell check when we go from Tools->Spelling and Grammar. It does spell check but after a few pages it stops. This is the exact statement the client made

"Word refuses to run spell check on very large files, and keeps giving a message saying that it can no longer spell-check the document.

Any clues

Thank
Al
