Spell Check in Outlook Express

Guest

I just purchased an hp pavilion ze 5385 laptop computer
off the shelf designed by manufacturer with Windows XP
and Word Perfect 10. Spell check appears as an icon in
my OUtlook Express bar, but I can't access or open this
function. What patch or change to my configurations may
I make to be able to access Spell Check in Outlook
Express????? When I had a full version of XP on my
prior computer, I had Spell Check. Outlook Express's
"Help" says that I must have Word, or Excel, or Power
Point to access Spell Check in Outlook Express. Must I
purchase such Word product at over $280, or can I simply
install my WP disc into my hp pavilion (not the WPdisc
that came with it but one I have for my previous
computer?

Spell check requires you have an OFFICE family product installed - Word
Perfect, obviously, doesn't fall into that category, therefore it will not
enable OE spellcheck. There are a number of free spellcheckers available
but, as I've not used any of them myself, I cannot really comment on their
effectiveness.

Do a Google search for "speller for microsoft internet products".
I have installed it on several machines, has always worked fine. HTH
