spell check in word 2004 mac

Word keeps crashing after I do a spell check.

I tried deleting the preferences file in the library directory as was mentioned
in an earlier posting but no luck it still crashes.

My ugly work around is to paste some gibberish at the end of the document
and cancel out of spell check when I get to the gibberish.

This works because my spell check crashes just when I finished checking the
entire document.

Hi Harold,

Perhaps spellcheck crashes when it runs into some corruption in the
end-of-document marker...

Does it crash on every doc or always the same document?
