spell check in word does not work

spell check in word does not work. grammar check does work, but misspelled
words are missed. no red wavy line...nothing happens at all

If grammar check is working, it may be that you don't have "Check spelling
as you type" enabled.

Different poster but with the same problem. I've gone through KB papers, done
all the work with edit word, Outlook 2007, tried all these suggestions, with
the exception of Registry changes, and still I cannot get spell check to
work. all behaves as sault33 describes. I'm thinking now that (the old saw at
work here) with several hours I've spent trying to solve this issue to give
up and return to Outlook SB 2003, although Outlook SB 2207 is nice. Whatta ya
think? any suggestions?

If you have not addressed the registry change and the registry entry is
responsible for the problem then you won't be able to fix it!

Graham, you are right, of course. I'm not experienced with registry changes.
A bit hesitant. I found "freelancer" who has the answer. registry: HKEY user,
all the way to software proofing, change 1.0 to zz.1. There you have it.
Solved the problem. took me a little over 5 hours to research to get an
answer that works. I added "freelancer" website to favorites, if anyone needs
that for a full description, since i did not add all the steps.
