Spell check is not correcting spellings but only grammar.

I am using MS Office 2007. I have suddenly found that my spell check does not
detect any spelling mistakes. It although corrects grammar and auto corrects
all the words properly.

I verified that I have not disabled the option of check spelling in this
document and also realized that it is not checking in all the older documents
as well.

Please let me know if there is any solution to the problem.
