Spell Check offers no suggestions

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange When I type an email in Entourage, the miss spelled words are underlined but when I go into spell check there are no alternate words listed in the "suggestions" box. It is empty.

I tested "I am thi king of France." It will underline "thi" but does not suggest "the" in the suggestion box (or any other word). There are no suggestions no matter what I type.

How do I fix this problem?

When I type an email in Entourage, the miss spelled words are underlined but
when I go into spell check there are no alternate words listed in the
"suggestions" box. It is empty.

Create a new Identity in Entourage. No need to enter account info or import
any data. Test the spelling issue in a new message. Does it work?

If yes, then since this is an Exchange account, I would enter your account
info and let the new Identity sync to the server. You can rebuild your
database but I've see the bug where all messages come in as .eml files after
a rebuild.

If no, then Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts.
Switch to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Test
Office there.

If it works in the new User, then go back to your main User and drag your
Identity to Shared. Switch to new test User and drag (it copies) your
Identity to the Microsoft User Data folder > Office 2008 Identities folder
and test.
