Spell Check Suggestion Box cant highlight word

When running the Spell check, my misspelled words are picked up, but I cant highlight any of the words in the Suggestion box. Even the word "Suggestion" is greyed out. I've tried replacing the custom.dic, replacing all my templates, none of this worked. On the right hand side, where the option should say "Ignore", instead it says "Undo Edit". I have all my desired spell check options checked in the Spelling & Grammar tab. Please assist.

What version of Word are you using and what patches are installed?

Additionally, if you are editing the text directly in the dialog box then you need to click the "Change" or "Undo Edit" command to resume spell check.

this problem is very similar if not identical to a problem a few of us are
experience i recently made a post about it.. it is under word 2007 with all
the updates from microsoft update .com. it is not the result of manual
editiing if you click undo edit it will once again grey the solutions out and
replace ignore with undo edit in less than 2 seconds .

Seeing as I am begging for help I won't be too upset by this response.
However, I did not post the same question 3 times. the post in this was just
responding with more info to the bug that was posted as the OP did not
respond to the question. I clarified that the problem is occuring in Word
2007. the only other post i made was an accidental post because my browser
was messing up.
