Spell Check turned off in merged document

Vicki

Form document is set to U.S. for language, and the "do
not check spelling" box is empty. Same settings exist in
normal template. However, when the merge information
file is combined with the form into a new merged
document, the text inserted in the merge fields is not
checked for spelling errors (if you check the language
setting, U.S. is still selected, but the "do not check
spelling" box has a grayed checkmark in it. Any way to
force the newly merged document to retain normal template
settings? Thanks.

Hi Vicki,

Unfortunately, no, there is not. This is standard for mail
merge field results. Basically, you need to
- Ctrl+A
- Then set the language

You can record this in a macro, to make it faster to use...
