Spell check won't stay on!

I am using MS Word 2003 on a Win XP Pro computer. Every time I go into
Word and start writing up a document it won't automatically spell check
as I'm typing. After I run the check wizard it will auto check the
document.

I have gone in to make sure that Auto correct was turnned on for both
grammer and spelling checker. They are both on. Even when I first start
up and check the options they are on but not working.

Any simmilar problems and possible solution?
