Spell check

Hello,
I know this has been answered before but despite numerous searches of google can't seem to come up
with the right answer.

I have a spell checker in word (which also won't change away from Welsh as the default language but
that's another matter!) which does not splel check any documents new or old.

What is the process again for getting it to do this (not tools/language etc but the one ctrl or
something then something else in order to correct this fault.

A couple of question... First, what version of Word is this. Second: Did it
previously work and suddenly stop Working, or, has it always not worked?

If it has never worked properly, it might be an installation issue. Have you
tried Help - Detect and Repair?

If it recently stopped working, then it might be a corruption issue of some
kind. Does it work in Safe Mode? Assuming this Word 2002 or 2003, to start
in Safe Mode, hold down Ctrl when you start Word, and keep it pressed until
Word appears on Windows task pane. Then click Yes to the Safe Mode prompt.
