Spell Check

When I type a document, my spell check doesn't start until I space the word
so if the first couple of words are wrong(cause I tested it), then I wouldn't
know.

If you're saying a word isn't displayed as misspelled until you press your
spacebar after the word then that's how it works. Word don't "know" you're
finished typing until you add a space, punctuation, or press Enter.

As for knowing if a word is misspelled, while there are proofing tools
available your own eyes are still the best proofreader since a program isn't
going to catch everything.
