Spell Check

R

Robin Hoover

I am having difficulty with 'spell check'. I have MS Word
2000.

When I go to spell check a document that is in all CAPS,
spell check does not pick up on errors.

I've also found that when someone e-mails me a document to
be edited, it does not pick up errors.

Can someone give me assistance?

There is an option on the Spelling & Grammar tab of Tools | Options to
"Ignore words in UPPERCASE," which might explain your caps problem. As for
the emails, very likely the text is formatted as "(no proofing)" or "Do not
check spelling and grammar." You'll need to select it and change the
language using Tools | Language | Set Language.
