Spell Checker Not Working

J

I am using Windows XP, and Word (thru Works 2004) along with Outlook Express.
When I click on spell checker, it identifies the words that are not correct,
but does not offer the correct spelling. I checked my browser, and it is set
correctly for Word and Outlook Express. Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks

This newsgroup discusses Outlook, not Outlook EXPRESS which is a
different program.

Thanks, I wondered about that, but could not find anything specific for
Outlook Express. Can you direct me to one for that, or does one not exist?

I don't use Microsoft's webnews-for-dummies interface that pretends that
Microsoft has forums by usurping Usenet. You'll have far more features
for using newsgroups if you use a real newsreaders, like Outlook
Express, Thunderbird, Xnews, Dialog, XanaNews, or other NNTP (Network
News Transfer Protocol) clients. My guess is that you have to navigate
to an Internet category or look under Internet Explorer since Outlook
Express was bundled with IE until version 7.

Someone else might pop in here to add URLs to the "forum" (or community)
web pages for OE. I figure there's no point for me to wade through
Microsoft's navigation in their "communities" (which is really Usenet)
which is what you would do, anyway.
