Spell Checker Problem

I am experiencing an unusual problem and need help. When
I open Word, Excel or even Adobe 6.0 anything that
utilizes the spellchecker feature the document locks ups
with the message displayed that says spellchecker is
complete.

However I cannot close the spellchecker and am forced to
reboot to clear the screen, it just started yesterday with
no warning and I do not know how to fix it.

HELP ME PLEASE
