Spell checking - French Language

I have an associate at the office who has a document that continually wants
to run the spell check in French as opposed to English. Although I have
reset the the "set language" option to English and additionally changed the
default; on this one particular document, even though there are no French
spellings within the document, the spell check wants to revert to French.

Any assistance or clues would be appreciated.

Tools>Language>Set Language
"Detect language automatically" UNCHECK the box
