spell checking problem

I use office xp. I found one section of my word document can not use spell
checking function. The other sections are ok. Is there something wrong with
my office? Thanks for any help.

Most likely the text in that section is formatted as "Do not check spelling
or grammar" (Tools | Language | Set Language). Is the section protected for
forms?
