Spellcheck failing

My spellcheck in Danish and English won't work at all. No words are checked.
In options the language is set to Danish and I can find the dictonary-files,
so why won't the spelling work???

Open the document and SelectAll. |Go to Tools, Languages, Set language and
make sure that the correct language is set and that the check boxes are
correct.

I might need to tell you that it is about Word 2007 - sorry.
In Word-settings and language-settings both Danish and English are set
(Danish as primaery) and the check box for automatically determine language
is also checked in under Set Language, but no word is being checked in the
document. Other Office-programs do not check spelling either.

But as the dictonary files are found on the computer it seems as Office just
do not find them - where can I give Word the path?
The dictonary files (MSsp3da.lex, MSsp3da.dll and MSth_da.lex) are found at
C:/Programms/Shared Files/Microsoft Shared/Proof on my compouter.

Other solutions as well are very welcome!

Greetings MIver

Check in Word Options Proofing that it is set to check Spelling and that the
Exceptions options are clear. If it still fails to find obvious spelling
errors, try turning off the Automatically Detect Languages option and see if
it will work with just a single language set as Default.

I'm pretty sure that there are some bugs being ironed out in the spelling
department with SP1 for Office 2007.

Hi!

This seems to work for the english-dictonary. But for the Danish-dictonary
the same thing does not make it work. The Danish gramma is working, but not
the dictonary - nothing is marked when writing a wrong word. Any more
suggestions?

Do you know when to expect SP1 for Office 2007?

Greetings MIver

The servicepack is under test at the moment, but other than knowing the plan
is to release it as soon as it is fully tested, I don't know the date.

Meanwhile, I expect that your problem spell-checking Danish is probably a
different problem. I suggest you try the Language FAQs at Cindy Meister's
home page: Cindy has vast experience changing Word languages and language
setup problems.
