Spellcheck not working in Word

L

As far as I can tell all my Word Options/Proofing settings are correct, but
spell check is not working in some documents. Seems OK in earlier documents
created in old World and in a new Word 2007 documents, but not in the
121-page one I'm working on. Help appreciated.

Select All (Ctrl+A). On the Review ribbon, in the Proofing group, click the
Set Language button (it doesn't have a label, but it's a green globe and a
red check mark). In the resulting dialog, if there is anything (check mark
or green square) in the "Do not check spelling and grammar" box, click it
until it's empty.

It's also possible that this option is set in one or more of the styles used
in that document. It would be a good idea to check their definitions (press
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S to open the Styles task pane, and hover over the styles in
use to see what they contain).
