Spellchecker won't catch mispelled words even w spellcheck options

I have changed Word 2003 options for the spell checker to make sure it picks
up all mispelled words. After hitting OK, I do a spell check and it picks up
mispelled words but, when I add new text to the document, adding some
mispelled words on purpose, it doesn't pick up any new mispelled words.

Don't know what's going on. Has this happened to anyone before?

Language settings:

Highlight what you want to change (or all text)
View the Task Pane,
Switch to the "Reveal codes" task pane.
Click the "Language Settings"
Clear the check out of "Do not check spelling and grammar"

- Now, if only you can figgure out how to NOT get that button checked in
the first place when Outlook asks Word to edit an email, Please let me
know...

I don't know if you've tried this, but if not, use the Office 2K3 CD, and
choose to add/modify features to Word. There you'll be able to customize the
"proofing tools" to include auto-correct of misspelled words.

Ctrl+A to Select All. Go to Tools | Language | Set Language and make sure
that the correct language is selected and that the "Do not check spelling or
grammar" box is clear.
