Spellchecking Sidenotes

Is there any way to spell-check a side note without expanding the window?
Also, is there any way to add the spell-check button to the side note
taskbar? It seems like there is no way to customize that taskbar because
Customize isn't accessible from a side note, and the Side Note taskbar
isn't accessible from Customize. Why is that?

Sure, press F7. Also you can customize the Sidenote Toolbar just by right-clicking
the sidenote toolbar and choosing Customize.

And of course the background spell-check (red squiggle) is going on all the
time...
