Spelling and grammar in signatures

When using Word as an email editor, the signature automatically has the
language setting checked for "Do not check spelling or grammar". Can this be
changed? I am well versed in registry editing if needed.
I have a colleague who includes her greeting in the signature. This causes
everything typed to be ignored by the spell checker because it is inside the
signature. She insists she should not need to change the language setting
every time she types another email. I Agree with her desire and the theory
that this should be simple, however the only way I’ve found to avoid that is
to use Outlook as her email editor.

Instead of ... Word? I would do that in the first place.

Anyway, I'm not quite sure I understand the problem. The signature is
intended to be the very last thing in an email. Why would your colleague
want to type anything in there in the first place?

Maybe an email template is what she really is in need.

Thanks for your input, I will take a close look at templates to see if
there's a way inside them to turn off that flag. My first template attempt
looked the same as a signature, but I didn't really have time to dig into
templates yet.

Sorry I was unclear on the reason:I meant to say she insists on putting a four line header at the top of the
signature to avoid using an auto-correct in every email. I know that is
outside the paradigm of signature usage and M¢ default usage a signature
block does not support it. I can't change the will to do it anyway, and also
can't dissaggree that making it possible would make sending email more simple.
