Spelling check in word

Word won't check my spelling anymore. I changed the dictionary from
Norwegian to English, but after I changed it back it won't check my
spelling anymore. Everything should be OK in Preferences, and I have
tried to uninstall, and reinstall, but nothing happends. When I try to
run a spelling check I get the message that "the spelling and grammar
check is complete." Any suggestions?

Hi Simon,

Not trying to be a smart aleck, but I found the thread referred to by
searching Google (Advanced Groups Search) for this newsgroup for all posts
on April 16, 2004, which was the date of the original post. That gave me
the date of John McGhie's reply, which was April 19, 2004, so I then
searched on that date. It took about 4-5 minutes. I found this:

It can be a real hassle to say where, but in this case, but it's probably
from the same poster who duplicated their message, so try searching on the
name and the group microsoft.public.mac.office.word. Use google groups,
that's easiest.

If you can't find it or it doesn't work, below is one explanation for why
word won't spellcheck. If that doesn't help, go ahead and start a new
thread, and describe your problem yourself, in detail, OS and word version
numbers included. So often people say "I have the same problem!" but they
don't, so no one trusts that.
