How do I enable the "Spelling & Grammar" tab in Tools | Options for Word
with MS Office 97 Professional in a limited user account on WinXP Pro?
or
Is there some pre-installation requirement when installing Office 97
Professional on Windows XP for a limited user?
I would imagine it has something to do with the fact I've installed
Office 97 onto a NTFS partition, and the fact the limited user does not
have the correct permissions. In Tools | Options the "Spelling &
Grammar" tab is grayed out. I provided the user the modify permission
for the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office" directory, but it did NOT do
the trick. In a user account with administrator privileges things seem
to be fine.
I'm the only user on this PC, but like to do most if not all my work
while in the limited user account because I have a cable connection
which is always on. So limitations on the install effecting the limited
user account is significant.
Any ideals? TIA!
